403 Forbidden

You do not have permission to access the file you were trying to load.

There are several reasons this may have happened :
  1. You may have been trying to access an area you don't have permission for.
  2. You may be using a client that is known to have problems interacting with our server.
If your User-Agent identifies itself (below) as Offline Explorer, GetRight, MSIECrawler, BPFTP, or emailsiphon, you should switch to something else, because we are explicitly denying access to those user agents.
  3. You may have submitted spam to one or more of our interactive forms
  4. You may have accessed too many pages in one day. This only happens if your specific I.P. address has accessed more than 5,000 pages on Erowid for more than one day in a row.
If you believe you have been blocked in error...or you believe you have a legitimate reason for accessing a large number of pages...please send us an email including the following information.

I got a 403 Forbidden message, and I don't know why!
